January 6, Saturday, 9:00-11:00 am: Tot & Family Shabbat 

Join us for Tot Shabbat (ages birth to 5) at 9:00 AM followed by a Bagel Nosh at 9:30 AM and a Family Service (ages 6-12) at 10:15 AM!

January 7, Sunday, 9:30-11:30 am: Soup for the Soul  — POSTPONED

Learn to enhance coping skills to reduce stress; build stronger family connections; develop techniques for feeling calmer and more balanced in the new year.  Grab a bowl of chicken or vegetable soup and schmooze with other parents!

January 12, Friday, 7:30 pm: Civil Rights Shabbat

Honoring the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Music by the Ridgefield Chorale, will reflect the spirit of the Civil Rights Movement. TBC member Bonnie Heft, who’s a member of the Ridgefield Chorale, has arranged for the group to join us for our Civil Rights Shabbat. Make sure to come and learn and enjoy! All are welcome! February 4, Sunday, 2:00-4:00 pm: Confronting Acts of Hate in Our Community

Sharing their community’s sensitivities, experiences with hage incidents, and the impact these have had on their community. Speakers will include: Cantor Harriet Dunkerley (Temple B’nai Chaim), Father Reggie Norman (Our Lady of Fatima), and other faith and community leaders.

To be held at the Riverbrook Regional YMCA, 404 Danbury Rd, Wilton, CT.  RSVP required.

November 9, Thursday:  Kristallnacht Remembrance, 7:00-9:00 pm – RSVP

In conjunction with Wilton Congregational Church, author Kathloeen Burton will speak at TBC about her book, The Nazi Religious and the Rise of the French Christian Resistance.  (Dr. Burton’s book is available on Amazon.)

November 12, Sunday: Gathering to Show Support for victims of October 7 Terror Attack, 2:00 – 4:00 pm

Place: Wilton green (next to the gazebo); Refreshments will be provided.

Come join your neighbors to learn of the humanitarian aid that can be provided and other ways you can support those in need.

November 12, Sunday: Living at the Poverty Line: A Simulation Experience, 1:00-4:00 pm – CANCELLED UNTIL SPRING

What is the experience of poverty?  How Can we impact things. A limited space exercise here at TBC in partnership with First Church of Christ Congregational, the Mark Twain Library in Redding, and Western CT University. 

November 17, Friday: New Member Shabbat and Consecration, 5:30 pmRSVP

Join us for a pasta and salad, dinner, a special Shabbat service and delicious desserts as we welcome our newest families to our community. This wonderful evening also celebrates new students who take part in our Consecration ceremony and receive a personal Torah.

November 19, Sunday:  Adult Hebrew Class, 10:00 am – All interested should come to the TBC conference room.

December 3, Sunday: Brave Conversations – Dare to Lead, 9:30 am-11:30 am – Register.

This ADL program is an interactive workshop for TBC adults only (not open to students) to learn how to become empowered to have difficult conversations and interrupt antisemitism when it happens. (It is not a workshop that teaches parents / grandparents how to talk to children about antisemitism.)
